Tennessee’s local Crossville/Cumberland County TOYS FOR TOTS campaign is underway, and TRIPLE C REALTY & AUCTION, LLC, is proud to serve as an official drop-off location on behalf of TOYS FOR TOTS in the Cumberland County area.
Making Moves that Matter to Our Community
At TRIPLE C REALTY & AUCTION, LLC, we believe that being part of the Crossville and Cumberland County area means more than helping people buy and sell homes — it means being actively involved in the place we call home. That’s why we’re proud to partner with TOYS FOR TOTS as an official drop-off location this holiday season. Heartwarming Beginning Dates Back to 1947
The idea came from Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks — though the true inspiration was his wife, Diane. She had lovingly handcrafted a few dolls and asked her husband to find an organization that could give them to children in need.
When Bill couldn’t find one, Diane had the perfect solution: she told him to start one! Taking her advice to heart, Major Hendricks and his fellow Marines in Los Angeles collected and distributed more than 5,000 toys that first year — and that’s how the TOYS FOR TOTS tradition was born. How Long They’ve Been Doing It & Why It Matters
TOYS FOR TOTS has delivered hundreds of millions of toys to children across the country, and the area Crossville/Cumberland County initiative is part of that broader mission. Locally, you’ll see volunteers, community partners, and drop-off sites joining to help families and children in our area experience the warmth, wonder, and excitement that make the holidays so special to many. How You Can Help: Drop-Off & Donation Details
We welcome you to drop off new, unwrapped toys at TRIPLE C REALTY & AUCTION, LLC, located at: 2888 Dunbar Road, Crossville, TN 38555. You may also drop off at other participating drop-off sites across the Crossville/Cumberland County area.
- Be sure the toy is new AND unwrapped.
- Check drop-off deadlines. While each local campaign sets their date, many locations stop collecting right before mid-December.
- Check the toy’s age-appropriate label so gifts match the recipient’s age.
- Consider donating for older kids (ages 13-17) as those brackets often have fewer gifts. (This is commonly noted by local campaigns.)
- If you’re donating online or want more info, the national website encourages you to “Donate a Toy” and “Find your local chapter/drop box locations”.
- Spread the word! The more drop-off sites and donations, the more children we reach.

How Recipients Receive Toys
Families in need can apply through the local chapter to receive toys for children in their household. To request a toy, you must submit your application with the local TOYS FOR TOTS Chapter that supports your area.” Please do so as soon as possible so as to not miss the deadlines. The local campaign arranges distribution — pick-up or event details vary by region. If you know a family who might benefit, encourage them to reach out and fill out the application early.
